King's Lynn refrigeration company celebrates awards win!

Foster Refrigerator has triumphed in prestigious national awards for the catering industry.

The Catering Update ‘Excellence in Equipment & Supplies’ Awards 2006 took place on the 3rd of November in London where King's Lynn-based Foster won the refrigeration category with one of its high specification refrigerators designed for the foodservice industry.  The judges praised the winning Gastro Pro refrigerator for its outstanding energy efficiency and its environmentally friendly features.

Accepting the award at the ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel in London were John Savage, Foodservice Director and Chris Playford, Engineering Manager at Foster.  John Savage said: “Winning this award is fantastic, but more significant for us is why we have won.  Foster has been at the forefront of energy efficient, green refrigeration design for a long time.  We are constantly working to innovate and improve the already high standards that apply to all our units to offer catering professionals the best in cost effective, environmentally responsible refrigeration.  To have this commitment recognised in highly regarded industry awards is extremely satisfying.”

Winning the award follows a strong performance in sales in recent months both in the UK and worldwide. Foster’s commitment to the environment has led to significant increases in sales of its eco-friendly hydrocarbon refrigerators with leading brands including Tesco, Starbucks and various schools and hospitals.
