A carbon footprint is defined as, "The total set of GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions caused directly and indirectly by an individual, organization, event or product" (UK Carbon Trust 2008).

In 2007 Foster manufacturing reduced its carbon footprint by almost 9% (from 83.1 tons per £1M turnover to 76.4 tons per £1M turnover). Foster is targeting to reducing this carbon footprint by over 5% per annum.

ISO14001 Environmental Standard
Foster is one of only a few refrigeration manufacturers in the world to have this standard. We are independently inspected by Lloyds LRQA every 6 months, and it covers all parts of our operation from design to final disposal.

Foster Products Are Over 99% Recyclable
In conjunction with our recycling partner Foster has developed a process that ensures all but a tiny fraction of your old Foster product is recycled and reused.

Product Longevity
The longer a product lasts the greener it is as all the extra energy used to produce a new product is delayed. Foster robustness of construction using only quality components means it is the longest lasting product in the industry.

Producing In The Market We Sell
Unlike imported products which have high carbon footprint because of all the handling & transport involved, Foster products are manufactured in the UK and delivered straight to the customer.

Servicing And Maintenance
Foster partner regional refrigeration dealers to provide local (low carbon miles) service. All our service partner technicians attend the Foster Service Training in order to ensure that the highest of standards are maintained.
